DE PONTI
In 2026, Hoi P'loy launched their De Ponti range - a hybrid of old and new manufacturing technologies that embraces both the traditional solid brass components the brand is known for and contemporary 3D-printed parts. The range uses 3D-printed parts in tasteful, matte colours with simple designs that draw inspiration from a legendary visionary of the past. While Alfonso Bialetti is well known as the inventor of the Moka Pot, few people acknowledge the designer behind the visual design and refinement of the iconic shape - Luigi De Ponti.
Our De Ponti Touch Light pays homage to his famous piece by echoing the faceted cylinder we’ve all come to know as a universal symbol of coffee, while drawing on the signature sharp angles found in the Hoi P’loy Logo.
To create a seamless user experience, we built the De Ponti Touch light with a minimal brass finial that controls the light with a gentle touch: tap-on, tap-off. The lamp uses a replaceable 5W LED E14 bulb, and comes standard with a South African 3-pin plug.
