RENAISSANCE MICRO-CRYSTALLINE WAX POLISH (65ml)

 

For the maintenance of non-lacquered brass items. Products that do not have a protective lacquer coating require regular waxing in order to prevent rapid oxidisation (tarnishing). Currently these include our Hex Handles and Carson Collection ranges. All our other brass items come standard with a coat of lacquer. A request can be made at the time of ordering brass items to omit the lacquer layer if you'd prefer to use wax and have a more subtle, gradual aging that can be controlled by the frequency of waxing maintenance.

 

• History: Developed at the British Museum Research Laboratories in the 1950’s

• Purpose: An alternative to clear lacquer in protecting natural brass

• Material: Petroleum based micro-crystalline wax

• Application: Brass, Copper, Steel, Wood, Leather, Marble

• Acidity: pH Neutral

• Cleaning: Gentle damp cloth (warm soapy water or paraffin)

• Removing: White spirit (a petroleum distillate)
