Showroom Host

Concierge/ Customer Service/ Store Manager/ Coordinator/ Front of House/ Product Guru

Be a Brand Ambassador with extensive knowledge on our product range and options. The top priority of this role is to provide a phenomenal customer experience by maintaining the showroom, engaging with customers through in person consultations, telephone calls and email correspondence. 

Age 25+ with a friendly disposition, and extensive experience in customer service roles. A natural problem solving personality, who identifies opportunities for improvement, and takes initiative in a responsible way to proactively elevate customer experience. A level of maturity in approach mixed with a sense of playfulness is a must. This person should also have a sense of fashion, design/decor trends. This person must be upbeat, and should handle difficult customers or frustrating circumstances  with grace. They should have empathy for both the customer and the Hoi P'loy support team. 

 

Be a good host by welcoming customers who come through the door, making sure hands are sanitized, drinks are offered if they need to wait

Opening doors, welcome clients in

Answer phone calls

Assist with queries by phone and emails

Respond to website query and follow up

Guide customers to make a purchase online (phone call)

Follow up on all pending quotes (retail & trade), completed retail orders 

Follow up by phone call and give a report on customer experience

Make sure the showroom is presentable. Make sure the showroom is tidy. Stock is replenished. Things are cleaned. Items are maintained

Curate the showroom & shop front windows monthly

Identify new business/ marketing opportunities that present themselves and report back to directors on a regular basis

Resolve conflicts with customer service

Be the face of the company at events & expos

Provide sales admin support by processing sales when needed 

 

Work experience and Skills

Service related roles such as positions in hospitality industry (hotels, restaurants, boutique stores)

Proficient in English, written and spoken

Computer literate (email, Microsoft Word, Google Docs/Sheets, Excel)

Basic office/sales admin

Sales experience is a plus

 

Minimum Requirements

Matric Certificate (Tertiary is a bonus)

At least 3 years relevant work experience

Drivers License
